Located minutes outside the city in Komoka, ourbefore and after School program caters to families with children in Junior Kindergarten to age 12. Working co-operatively with Parkview Public School, we are able to offer two distinct programs- one for JK/SK children and one for children in Grade one and older which allows for optimal opportunities for both age groups. This program provides an Emergent Curriculum supported by Ontario’s Early Learning Framework.
Our school age educators provide opportunities for fun and relaxing activities before and after a busy school day. Activities include outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts, sensory, indoor games and special events. Our staff observe the children’s interests and plan and implement fun and meaningful opportunities that support those interests. The fun and learning that takes place is posted in the classrooms for you and your child to enjoy. The documentation includes photographs, artwork, a learning story and developing skills.
Exciting activities are held on PA days, during the summer months, March Break and Christmas at our Wilfrid Jury location. Emphasis is placed on field trips/ special visitors, special days, outdoor and recreational activities. A PA Day Registration is sent out to all families outlining the planned activities for each day and how to register. A calendar of activities is provided prior to the March Break and the summer program.
